Once I was done with my exam, I met some friends at the beach and met their new (11 weeks) baby boy... Makai! Makai's mom (Maggie) and I have been friends since preschool. It's so crazy, but so wonderful to see her as a mom.

NCLEX-RN and friends
Yesterday marks the last day of studying... at least for awhile. I took my NCLEX-RN exam yesterday morning, and although I won't have my results for awhile I am keeping my fingers crossed. But either way, pass or fail, I wont be studying for a while... time to put all my focus and energy into the upcoming wedding! Hawaii in 2 weeks!

Congratulations Maggie and Chris! I am so happy I got to see you and meet Makai yesterday... can't wait to see you in a couple weeks!

Study Break
Last weekend I took a break from studying for the NCLEX-RN exam to have dinner with Jade and our friends Matt and Sarah. We have been wanting to go to Stone Brewery in Escondido... it's pretty awesome. The have a wonderful outdoor sitting area, and even the inside kinda feels like the outside.

... And the food was awesome too- huh Sarah?!

After dinner we went walking around the little gardens they have on the grounds and found some people that had hula hoops! If you know me, you know I LOVE hula hoops!
I don't think Sarah has quite as much experience with hula hoops
What a fun night! Thanks for going with us guys. I am so excited that I will have more time to do more things like this soon!

Wedding!
We are exactly ONE month away from the biggest day of my life! ;-) I can't believe how quickly the past year has gone. It feels like yesterday that Jade and I hiked that big rock called Half Dome and he asked me to marry him!
Things are falling into place for the wedding. My mom has been a huge help (as have my dad, and soon to be in-laws)- I couldn't be doing this without you guys.
I am so excited to be marrying my best friend, in the most beautiful place on earth, with all (most) of our closest friends and family there by our side. We can't wait to celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives with you!
Catching up
I am also trying to spend more time with family and friends. While I was in the area for graduation I was able to spend some time with my mom, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew. Michael is 8 months old now, and is becoming stronger and more mobile every time I see him.
Mandi & Hays (I was a bridesmaid in their wedding back in February, and now she will be one of mine next month!)
Mandi and I have been friends for as long as I can remember (and even longer apparently- we went to preschool together, but don't really remember that)! We both live in San Diego now, but don't get to see each other nearly as much as we should, hopefully we can change that soon.
I was on "aunty duty" and was his babysitter the past 2 days. Unfortunately he wasn't feeling so good and was pretty fussy, but I was able to capture this little smile!
Jade and I also went to a friends house this past weekend and got to catch up with some friends we hadn't seen in a while.
Although I am busy studying for my boards (which I will take on Aug. 17), I am looking forward to catching up with more people I have been missing during the last 15 months.
Last Final and Graduation
DONE with nursing school! Now that I am done, you would think I have had lots of time to catch up on my blog... not so much. Things have still been crazy busy this past week, maybe even more busy than before (okay, maybe not).

Then the actual graduation was on Friday up in Azusa, CA. Unfortunately most of my classmates didn't come. There were only 5 (out of 26) of us to represent our class.

A couple of my favorite girls: Jennie & Me, and Me & Jordanna (must say, it was not really my best day for photo ops, but oh well, you only graduate college once - or not... maybe twice! ;-)
It all started with our last final last Thursday. A bunch of the girls and I went to Mimi's for mimosas to celebrate. Since our pinning was back in May and most of our classmates weren't going to the graduation ceremony, we decided this would be our celebration.
Cheers!
Me and Jordanna- How would I have made it through without you!
Me and Rachel
The girls!
Me and Joy- my inspiration: she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last August after having her third trimester also be her first semester of nursing school; oh yeah, and also has 2 other toddlers at home!

Mom and Jade were able to come as well! Thanks guys for being there to support me. And to all my family and friends who have supported me through this very quick, yet stressful period in my life. Now, to conquer the boards and find a real job!
