The Proposal

Here's a paragraph of the proposal from Jade's perspective...

We went up to Yosemite and hiked up Half Dome. If you've been then you'll know that to do this trip in one day is quite a hike... 10-12 hours and 4800 vertical feet. We got up early and headed up the hill. After sweatin' buckets (it was warm despite being at altitude...) we made it up to the infamous "cables" at the base of the final climb. They recommend using gloves for this, we didn't have any. Fortunately, there is a pile of 150 or so that folks have discarded over the summer so we found a right and left and headed up. If you've never seen it it's quite steep and intimidating. Not much keeping ya from about a 3/4 mile drop with lots of time to think about it... anyways, we made it up there and after some lunch and me catching my breath, we took some time to look around. As expected, the view was well worth the trip, truly amazing. While we took it all in Mahea noticed that she was missing one of her recently acquired gloves... The gears in my head started to turn and when I got the chance I wandered away a little to hunt for it. Sure enough I found one lonely left handed glove, slipped the ring on the glove finger and made my way back to her. She said yes!
