Jade got his orders today! Which means, we know where we will be going in July, and it's... NOWHERE! Jade was able to find a flying job in San Diego for the next 3 years (or so). After a lot of searching (good job babe), frustration, and waiting, Jade finally got his orders and will still be flying helicopters. The down side is that instead of this being his "shore tour" where he would be "non-deployable" (and home with me for 3 years), he's going on back to back "sea tours," meaning he will be deploying again (at least once) during the next 3 years... boo. But I guess you can't have it all. Jade is a bit nervous about the change, but he is excited, and will do great I'm sure.
I am very excited to be staying close to friends and family and to be able to being working as an RN (keep fingers crossed) right here in San Diego!
